Weekend update

Let's face it ... I'm a carnivore! Had some rabbit and duck at Alembic on Haight. Great stuff!

On Sunday, went to brunch with some good people that I haven't seen in a long time - Colleen & Quentin and Patty & Lenny. In the afternoon, mommy taught me how to walk with my car, so I can now cruise through most of my home without (too much) assistance. Daddy also installed a gate at the top of the stairs.

Monday, went to a fun bbq w/ the EI crew at A Torie and U Duke's. The grub was excellent - you guessed it: burgers, brats, and chicken! Duke is a great guy but I had to take a leak on his throw rug - he should know better than to torment me - The Bubba - with his toy car.

For the record, my parents provide me with a well balanced diet. I enjoy my daily servings of fruits and vegetables but the meat is my favorite.

First haircut

Thanks to mommy, got my first haircut today. She did a fine job despite my refusal to cooperate.

Weekend and mobility update

Hi All,

I spent Thursday through Sunday with Dad since Mom was on a much-needed vacation and golf trip with Ellen.

Dad took me to a lot of fun places on Saturday – the dry cleaners, post office, goodwill, Costco, trader joes, rei, office depot! Then, he took me on my first bike ride. We cruised through the panhandle and golden gate park. I didn’t like the helmet but I liked looking around and exploring.

Yesterday was a breakthrough day – I know I’ve lead people to believe that I would never crawl since I am so close to walking, but alas, I’m crawling – and not just a few steps – crawling from one side of the room to the other (but only to knock over blocks or pick up a ball.) Mommy and Daddy better get on the ball and child-proof the house.

Look who mommy met!

Bye-bye (I actually know how to wave)

Grandma and Grandpa Obyc left today.

They were here for over a week, and I had a lot of fun with them. They really seemed to enjoy playing with me. I’m glad that Grandpa’s back is feeling better. Here are a few pics.

Another reason I love mommy … In-n-Out Burger

My Mommy is the coolest! Today, she took me to In-n-Out Burger and gave me some cheeseburger and fries – it was awesome!

Mothers Day

Can you believe this is my second Mother’s Day? Man, time flies.
Compare this picture to this one and the shots from my birthday party; I’ve grown a lot in one year. (alternatively, you can check my stats on the rhs.)

I had a fun morning w/ mommy. Dad made pancakes then we gave mom a digital photo frame.

I love her very much and am very thankful for that all that she does for me – especially the kisses, hugs, and singing lessons.

Birthday party

Birthday party
Today was my birthday party. Mommy had a Happy Feet theme since I love to stomp my feet when I’m happy, amused, or just ate something tasty.

Many fun guests came – Grandma and Grandpa Obyc and all of the following Aunts & Uncles – Ellen, Gwyn, Karie & Steve, Monica & Steve, Mariann & Zuki, Nicole & Dorian, Patrick, Tiph & MJ, and Torie & Duke.

I received lots of great toys, books, clothes – I even got a yummy avocado. The toys are really super – most of them make noise … a lot of noise.

I LOVED my cake. (thank you mommy for baking it) It took me a while to figure out how to eat it, but once I got going, I could have eaten more. I didn’t get to eat the grown-up’s ColdStone cake, but it’s clear the some of the guests thought it was yummo.

It was a very fun party. I had a great time playing with everyone and having them hold my hands as I strolled around the house.

Be sure to check the pictures. BTW, if you have some photos you want me to post, send Daddy the jpgs.

Thank you for coming - I’m definitely a lucky little guy.

Birthday!

Hi all,

Thank you for your birthday wishes. I'm having a little party on Saturday and will post more info then.

I'm too young to eat cake, so mommy fed me bbq beef brisket instead. I loved it! I also loved drinking water from a real glass. As you see from my shirt, my technique could use some improvement.
